Keith McLean Named Girls Varsity Hockey Coach

Tilton School Director of Athletics Tara Brisson announced Keith McLean as the new head coach of the Girls Varsity Hockey team on Friday morning. McLean comes from Noble & Greenough School in Dedham, Massachusetts where he spent three years as the assistant coach of the Girls Varsity Hockey team. He brings nearly a decade of coaching experience at multiple levels with him to the Hill.

“I am thrilled that Keith decided to join our team at Tilton School,” says Brisson. “His professionalism and drive are already well-respected by the entire hockey community. Keith will play a vital role in the continued development of our student-athletes on and off the ice. I am so excited to see what comes next for this team under his leadership!”

“I fell in love with the setting and the small community at Tilton,” says McLean. “I’m excited to continue building a winning culture where we have good players who are also good students and good citizens.”

Prior to his coaching days at Noble & Greenough, McLean was a student and three-sport athlete at the school. He went on to play both lacrosse and hockey at Harvard University and later graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School.

In addition to coaching at Noble & Greenough, McLean has been coaching club hockey with the Massachusetts Spitfires since 2014, and co-founded Inspire Hockey New England in 2017 to “bring together, empower, and inspire young women through an innovative coaching curriculum and environment.”

McLean has a passion for working with young, motivated athletes. “I love working with student-athletes who are driven to improve and to get to the next level and I’m looking forward to this opportunity at Tilton.”

In addition to his role as an assistant hockey coach at Noble & Greenough, McLean also spent the last three Spring seasons coaching with the boys and girls junior varsity lacrosse teams.
