To kick off the final week on the Hill before spring break, the Tilton community convened in the Chapel to celebrate the accomplishments of the winter season.
Winter coaches reflected on the season’s wins and losses, highlighted key moments, and recognized individual accolades of their players. The teams – girls varsity hockey, boys varsity B hockey, girls JV basketball, boys varsity basketball, and competitive skiing and snowboarding – took the stage to be recognized. Both girls varsity basketball and boys varsity A hockey qualified for the NEPSAC playoffs and opted to wait until the conclusion of their seasons to distribute awards.
Dean of Afternoon and Athletic Programs, Colleen Coyne, opened the ceremony with words on what it means to be a Ram.
“We tell stories that are not just about wins and losses, but about the commitment, teamwork, and the spirit that defines our program,” said Coyne. She explained that while wins are great, our attitude and routine outside of games is what sets us apart.
The ceremony followed with a formal dinner by advisory in the Masiello Dining Commons as well as a special Legacy Project in the Mansion. Julie ’25 and Beckett ’25 organized an art show titled, “Nostalgia,” which featured pieces from faculty, students, and other members of the Tilton community. The exhibition included a variety of mediums such as paintings, ceramics, poetry, drawings, and video. With dessert consisting of chocolate-covered strawberries, cookies, and cannolis served at the Mansion, the event ended on a perfect note!
