Approximately 15 percent of our students come from outside of the United States.
We understand the unique opportunities that come with living and learning abroad. Our international students have the support and resources necessary to access all the academic and cultural experiences that Tilton has to offer.
- Dedicated Faculty. Tilton’s International Student Coordinator works closely with students to help them acclimate and adjust to our residential community.
- Student Resources. In addition to a specialized orientation program, we help students with details like cell phones, bank accounts, and airport transportation.
- Extensive Programs. After classes, students pursue their own passions, through arts, clubs, and more than two dozen sports teams — stages and studios, laboratories and workshops await!
- English for Speakers of Other Languages. Our Integrated Language Support (ILS), designed for English language learners who need extra support for success in their academic courses, is delivered through Tilton’s Center for Academic Achievement . ILS emphasizes vocabulary, sentence grammar, reading, writing and speaking. Homework assignments from other classes serve as the foundation for ILS work. The development of key skills is assessed throughout the year.
