Post-Graduate Program – Tilton School

Post-Graduate Program

Whatever your goals, we can help you achieve them.

The benefits of a post-graduate year

  • Personalized Advising and Guidance — From the moment of acceptance, both the College Counseling and advisory programs begin designing a personalized program that targets personalize goals. Each student works with a College Counseling advisor on course selection, NCAA clearinghouse standards, college placement, and applications. In advisory groups, students are placed with a faculty advisor and a group of six to eight peers to meet on a weekly basis. These groups provide a space for students to ask questions about the academic program, navigating life on campus, and much more.
  • Academic Focus and Improvement — A post-graduate year can develop a student’s academic profile significantly by selecting courses that reveals their strengths and refine their skill sets. As a feature of our Mastery Approach to teaching and learning, many post-graduate students find great opportunity and independence in our Independent Learning Experience (ILE) program. With the guidance of faculty mentors, students are able to focus on an area that is of particular interest, gaining both knowledge and experience.
  • Athletic Development — Our athletic program provides an opportunity to build a student’s athletic profile by way of skill development, strength and conditioning, and top notch competition. For many student-athletes, an extra year of training helps maximize their potential and development, opening up new opportunities at the next level.
