Community Spaces – Tilton School

Community Spaces

Across 150 acres, there’s plenty of space for us to gather together!

From dorm common rooms, to the quad, to our wonderful outdoor spaces, at Tilton, being together is a big deal. Below are just some of our favorite places to spend time as a community.

  • Knowles Lobby – Located on the first floor of historic Knowles Hall, this has been a hub for hangouts, study sessions, and the like for generations of Tilton students.
  • The Masiello Family Terrace – Newly renovated in the summer of 2021, the brand new Masiello Family Terrace at the Charles E. Tilton Mansion is the perfect backdrop for formal occasions (like pre-Prom photos), meetings, and much more.
  • The Hamilton Family Pavilion – Another summer of 2021 addition, the Hamilton Family Pavilion brings a true gathering space to the Back-40, just the right size for BBQs, morning yoga, or even an outdoor science class.
  • The MARC – In addition to being the center of our athletics program, the Memorial Athletic and Recreation Center (MARC) is the place to go for a pick-up basketball game, a quick bite at Rusty’s Den (our campus snack bar), or to get your fill of action on the ping-pong tables.
  • The Residential Quad – Perfectly in the center of Pfeiffer, Moore, and Beaumont, the residential quad is where we set up our fire pits, our volleyball nets, and our cornhole boards.
  • The Head of School House – Decked out with historic photos and keepsakes, the Head of School House (HOSH) is a place for student organizations and clubs to meet, movie nights, and faculty and staff to relax and catch up.

New Space!

One of four projects that took place over the summer of 2021, our brand new, 250-seat, Alumni Amphitheater provides an outdoor space for student productions, music, gatherings, and so much more!
