Julie first joined the Tilton faculty as a Spanish teacher in 1997 after completing her undergraduate studies at St. Lawrence University (NY). She holds a Masters in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Salamanca (Spain). From 1999 to 2001, Julie traveled the world with the “Up with People” organization. She returned to Tilton in 2001 and continues to teach all levels of Spanish, serves as the department chair of the world languages department and coordinates the community service portion of the +5 Program. She leads the service learning trip to the Dominican Republic every year in March. Julie is also a dorm parent in West Knowles Hall and lives on campus with her husband, Alex, and two daughters.
