Matt Dawson

Matt Dawson joins Tilton School as Head Coach for the Varsity Football team with more than 17 years of coaching experience at the university level, including the University of Massachusetts, University of Rhode Island, Virginia State, Monroe College, Fordham University and the University of New Hampshire. Dawson earned a degree in sports management from the University of Massachusetts in 2001.

While a three-year starter at linebacker, he helped the Minutemen win the 1998 NCAA Division I-AA (now FCS) national championship and the 1999 Atlantic 10 championship. Dawson coached many collegiate student-athletes to All-CAA honors, some of whom who have gone on to play in the National Football League (NFL). Dawson lives on campus with his English Bulldog, Wilson.
